Automatic Waqaf Contribution
Public Islamic Bank automatically contributes 0.1% of your eligible dining transactions under Merchant Category Codes (MCC) 5812 and 5814 to Yayasan Waqaf every month.
The donation amount is capped at RM100 per monthly statement cycle, with the cap shared across all Public Islamic Bank principal and supplementary card accounts.
Shariah Features and Additional Benefits
The Public Islamic Bank Visa Gold Credit Card-i is based on the Commodity Murabahah via Tawarruq Shariah principle, an arrangement that uses a series of sale and purchase contracts to provide Shariah-compliant financing.
The card also applies non-compounding profit charges, meaning profit is calculated on a non-compounding basis in accordance with its Shariah structure.

Fees and Charges
The Public Islamic Bank Visa Gold Credit Card-i offers the following fees and charges:
- Annual fee (principal): First year waived. Subsequent years are waived with a minimum of 12 retail swipes over the preceding 12 months.
- Annual fee (supplementary): First year waived. Subsequent years are waived with a minimum of12 retail swipes over the preceding 12 months.
- Government Service Tax: RM25 per card upon activation and every anniversary thereafter.
- Cash withdrawal fee: 5% of the amount withdrawn or RM20, whichever is higher.
- Cash withdrawal profit rate: 18% p.a., calculated from the transaction date until full settlement.
- Late payment charge: 1% of the outstanding balance, subject to a minimum of RM10 and a maximum of RM100.
- Minimum monthly payment: RM50 or 5% of the outstanding balance, whichever is higher.
Retail transactions are subject to Bank Negara Malaysia's tiered profit rates of 15% p.a., 17% p.a. or 18% p.a., depending on your repayment behaviour.
